THE RECRUIT: R U IN?

"The Recruit: R U IN?" Euan MacDonald and MetaverseVR had captured the scenes with two 3ality stereoscopic rigs (4 red epics). It eventually was packaged in the MILKvr store on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 for use in the GearVR innovators edition. We ditched 3 of the 4 image sequences for every shot, and just worked on the 2D plates and stills. After stitching the stills and incorporating the plates we converted the final Lat-Longs using Legend3D's proprietary stereoscopic conversion software.

Here are some examples of what we had to work with final frames from each environment and final in VR player at bottom. The team completed all post production, including R&D in 5 weeks with the direction of Jared Sandrew (Legend 3D VFX Supervisor).

The final deliverable was 5k frames at 60fps, and total running time was close to 4 minutes.
